The New York Times Connections

Connections is a word puzzle that challenges to create four groups of four words. Each word in the groups shares a common theme between them. It presents with a four-by-four grid of sixteen words. 

Each group has a color-coded difficulty level. When you submit your last guess, all words are grouped into their respective color and difficulty. Here, yellow is the easiest and purple is the trickiest.

How to Play NYT Connections

New York Times Connections have 16 words in a 4x4 grid. Puzzlers need to create four groups of four items. Each group category must have a common theme.  Connections groups can be synonyms, animals, food ingredients, movie characters, book titles, etc. 

Each day the puzzle is edited by ‘Wyna Liu’. Each group is assigned color-coded difficulty levels. The color-coded groups are Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple. The yellow is the easiest or most straightforward, and the purple is the hardest or trickiest group.
